When, as soon as, until: ćwiczenia z odpowiedziami i karta pracy PDF

Po when, as soon as, before, after i until Polacy bardzo często wstawiają will, bo tak podpowiada polskie „kiedy wrócę”. Po angielsku mówisz jednak when I get home, nie when I will get home. Na początek masz krótkie zasady, a pod nimi 51 zdań w sześciu zestawach, od when I get home po as soon as I’ve finished. Każde sprawdza się od razu, a po dobrej odpowiedzi możesz odsłuchać całe zdanie.

Czas po when i as soon as w skrócie

Po when, as soon as, before, after, until: Present Simple

Mówisz o przyszłości, ale po tych słowach stawiasz czas teraźniejszy. Will zostaje w drugiej części zdania.

  • I’ll call you when I get home. (Zadzwonię, kiedy wrócę do domu.)
  • As soon as the pharmacy opens, I’ll pick up your medicine. (Jak tylko otworzą aptekę, odbiorę Twoje leki.)
  • Let’s eat before the movie starts. (Zjedzmy, zanim zacznie się film.)

Druga część zdania: will, going to albo prośba

W części bez when możesz mieć will, going to, a także zwykłą prośbę albo polecenie.

  • When I retire, I’m going to travel a lot. (Kiedy przejdę na emeryturę, będę dużo podróżować.)
  • Text me when you get to the hotel. (Napisz, jak dotrzesz do hotelu.)

As soon as I’ve finished: najpierw coś musi się skończyć

Kiedy chcesz podkreślić, że jedna rzecz musi się skończyć przed drugą, możesz użyć Present Perfect. Często obie formy są poprawne.

  • I’ll send it as soon as I’ve checked it. (Wyślę to, jak tylko to sprawdzę.)
  • You can go home when you’ve answered all the emails. (Możesz iść do domu, jak odpiszesz na wszystkie maile.)

Until: aż, dopóki nie

Po polsku mówisz „dopóki nie przyjdzie”, a po angielsku until bez przeczenia: until she comes.

  • I’ll wait until she comes back. (Poczekam, aż wróci.)
  • Don’t sign anything until you read it. (Nic nie podpisuj, dopóki tego nie przeczytasz.)

Uwaga: when w pytaniu to co innego

Kiedy pytasz „kiedy?”, when jest słowem pytającym i will jest jak najbardziej w porządku.

  • When will you know the results? (Kiedy poznasz wyniki?)
  • When will the plumber be here? (Kiedy przyjdzie hydraulik?)
